Hi Kim, You don't have to do anything. If Reset is needed to work with this device, then go ahead. But majority of devices says "hard disk ready" when recognized. Cheers, Joseph P.S. The largest flash storage currently available is 64 GB, and I can foresee even 256 GB cards coming out next year or so.
