Why getting it working in lennox? Btw, I got a little farther with putting in what you gave me, but still then got an authentication error. Thanks for what you have given me so far.

Sam

I used road runner's dial up a long time ago when I was away from
home
on a laptop and to do that required a special dialer program from
them
and for the service to be activated.

You might be able to work around that thought. I would try
prefixing
your username with: aolnet/ent.
Like aolnet/[email protected]
lower case aolnet, a forward slash, lowercase e n t, a period,
then
your username.

I got that from the code at
http://www.belikoff.net/rr-dialup-in-linux
Ideally you need some way of running a custom dial up script as
described in that page for getting it working in Linux.
Actually this second link provides more details.
http://woodruffrc.com/road-runner-dial-access-fix.html
I'll have to read the manual to see how much of that you can do
on the
braillenote but anyone else thinking of helping will likely find
that
useful.

I have been through this with them.  It doesn't work on my

Although they sware the user name and password are correct.  I
have
confirmed this with three different people in the company not
including the
help desk.  They just told me they can't authenticate  with
windows ce.
Doesn't make sense to me.  Does anyone here do roadrunner with
cell?
Thanks for the try Rhonda.   Any other ideas?

Sam

Sam, it almost makes me think there is something wrong with the
username or password, if it works using yours.  Does your
friends
information work for you, or are you trying to make that same
type of connection.

Ok,

I will try to provide all info.  I have someone who is
connecting
with bluetooth from Braillenote to an n82.   They are using
roadrunner as their isp.   They are simply trying to get on the
net.  Correct access number is confirmed.  User name and
password
has been confirmed.  She is using roadrunner.  It gets as far
as
logging on and then says, "authentication error".   They can't
give me a reasonable explanation.   However, If I give her my
username and password, and access number, she can get on the net
just fine.   What aren't they telling me?  Does anyone here use
roadrunner with cell phone?  Any help is greatly appreciated!
