Yes, I think that was a bit of a mistake. Eloquence uses more RAM than KNG,
and HumanWare knows (and even admitted in their release notes) about it.

Hi,
In the release notes about Keysoft 8, I read that if you are reading a
file using the bookreader and you turn on speech, the tts will be
eloquence, even if you have KeyNote Gold as your preferred synthesizer.
I think that's terrible! The eloquence voices grate on my nerves and I
haven't found a way to make them sound good! Why did HumanWare remove my
choice of synthesizers for reading books? I suppose I'll have to use
KeyWord for reading web braille books.
If this is true, then I won't upgrade to Keysoft 8.
