As I understand it, each database, from keylist to keymail (yes, your emails are just in one database), to keybase has two files: the definition file, holding the rules for what to display and how to display it, and a .cdb file, holding the actual data. Freeing database space just frees up space in the .cdb file of whatever database you are working with; freeing space in keymail will free space in email folders.cdb, freeing space in your cd catalog database in keybase will free space in cd catalog.cdb.
Hope this makes sense.

Have a great day,
Alex

I guess I'm a little confused. I didn't realize freeing database space and keybase space were the same? Learn something new every day, don't you?

I have found this. I am not sure why it does this, but I do not
bother to
run the utility anymore since I have never seen it do anything.

Does anyone know why Keybase repeatedly reports 0 bytes freed
even when I
have deleted several records.
I've deleted seven records in one sitting and it still reports 0
bytes
freed when I run the free database space utility.
