Kristen, I don't know that I agree about the BrailleNote line staying on top of current technology, let alone advancing with it. If one is looking for the office essentials, no doubt it is the perfect product. Yet current technology means more advanced features and better integration with mainstream systems. I would miss the thumb keys and straightforward command structure of the BrailleNote family but not enough to stay with the product for another several years.
So, I am reposting my notice about selling my BrailleNote mPower BT32, KS 7.5. The product comes in its original box and ships with the AC adapter and Ambicom wireless card. I am asking for one thousand dollars, PayPal preferable. Do not allow my precursor to discourage you from purchasing the notetaker if you have your heart set on one. I am a power user and demand more than the machine can currently deliver, but my personal preferences have nothing to do with the device's ability to do all the things that keep it among the better choices for blindness products. Also, at one thousand, you could trade it in for an Apex and ultimately save twelve hundred on the full price of an Apex model. Hello Peggy, and Frank, and ALL, FIRST: HAPPY 2010! I hope that you all have a very happy, Joyful, Fruitful, And PEACEFUL NEW Year This YEAR! (SMILE!) Second: I'm in the process of saving / trying to gather enough money for a braillenote. I have an MPOWER Voicenote which is now running KEYSOFT 8.0 Build 20! I love it! However, It sounds like 1 this apex is more, ah what's the word I am looking for, more in line with current technology, 2 will be able to advance with the current technology, 3 being a college student has even more than the MPOWER has in the way of functionality I need, 4 and last but not least it sounds like the MPOWER is getting ready to be outdated, obsolete, in a word: Extinct. So, Peggy And Frank and anyone who has any information particularly, but not exclusively, firsthand information about the apex pro's and con's, objectively please. I would Be eternally grateful if you would please pass it along to me! (SMILE!) THANK YOU! I anticipate your reply email-(S) in Great EXCITEMENT! MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU AND GIVE ALL OF YOU HIS PEACE!
