Thanks for some clarification on this one.
Outlook Express definitely only sends one copy of its messages, though I
notice Outlook appears to attach something, so presumably that HTML copy.

I suspect part of the confusion is that a number of
e-mail programs
actually send two copies of the same message content
within each message
they send in HTML mode--one as plain text and another
repeat as HTML. If
memory serves, the plain text generally comes first with
the HTML version
following afterward. I think that's how the message I'm
typing now in
Lotus Notes will appear. The idea is to maximize
compatibility with
different mail programs. The plain text version often
does miss some
things such as embedded links, but at least you can read
it. I think
Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express do this plain plus
HTML-style of
message transmission. Eudora probably does, too. So,
really, a majority
of HTML messages being sent around generally have a plain
text and an HTML
version enclosed.

Jerry

Hi Donna,
Now you've asked an interesting question ... because we
thought we'd heard
that it was ... and in fact our reading of email seemed
to bear that out.
When your email arrived, I decided to do a few more tests
and sent an HTML
document in an HTML email to my husband to read on his
Apex. I thought
that
this should say a "Yes" or "No"!
We read it fine!
I am wondering if it depends a bit on other settings from
which an email
document has been sent.
I am happy to send the same email document as I sent to
my husband to
anyone
who wants to try to read it either with the Apex or using
their BN to see
how they find it works.
