Hello and many thanks to both joseph and Robert for their suggestions which have helped me with my database problem. It appears that when I add data to a database on the Apex and then make a copy, for example on a cf-card, the Apex automatically institutes a protection on to the copied cdb file. If I then add more info' to the main database and copy that over to the card, one is told that the cdb file is protected, but one is given the choice of overriding this protection. However, if you take the card and insert it on to a PK, this protection gets in the way. One is not at that point given the option, instead the message "access denied", is stated. Yes, the answer is obviously, before transferring the card, to remove the protection from this cdb file. You are right, the database can then be used on the PK. Perhaps this unnecessary protection can be removed in the forthcoming corrective upgrade. Once again, many thanks for the help.
