Hi,
Yes. The internal WiFi would work just like a laptop would...

As far as the internal connectivity failing, is it anymore likely
to fail
than an internal wireless card on a laptop? If not, then I
really don't
think that it should be that much of a concern. The internal
wireless on
the laptop that I have had for over 3 years still works.

Hi,
Short term: mPower; Long term: Apex. In the future: whoever
comes up with
the SDK.
At the moment people believe that Apex is far svperior product
(which I
somewhat concur here). In terms of outside appearance, Apex is
lighter
and has better keyboard. It also features more powerful ways of
connecting to the outside world (USB, SDHC, etc.). However, the
lack of
shorter display option is somewhat troubling for those who have
low budget
(I'm sure HW would say something about that). For this reason,
for those
who loves to have options, I recommend an mPower still.
As for inside features, Apex has 8 GB of Flash (sixty-four times
more than
mPower's 128 MB). It also has 256 MB of RAM (with 32 MB
reserved for RAM
Disk), which is far superior to mPower's specs. Also, it has
built-in
WiFi and Bluetooth, as well as removable battery. However, the
built-in
connectivity (especially WiFi) could fail, which is a bit of a
concern.
However, if maintained right, I can see Apex lasting more than
ao mPower.
In terms of software, I would say that Apex is better than
mPower. The
inclusion of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 for Apex is far superior
approach to
mPower's Windows CE 4.2. However, the compatibility between
KeySoft
versions under these two operating system could play some
downturn in the
short run; however, with better management of memory and
hardware, Apex
would have vast potential than an mPower.
Hint: At the moment Apex has the latest devices and software
sets.
Hope it's helpful here.
Cheers,
JL
