Humanware has released an 18-cell version of the BrailleNote
Apex. Available with a braille keyboard, it includes the same
features as its 32-cell sibling including built-in wi-fi,
bluetooth, and an SD-HC card slot. Cost for a new unit is
$4,395, according to a customer service representative. mPower
18 users can upgrade for $2,995.
