Didn't someone, Alex I believe, post something to the list the
other day about trade in prices going down in July? I don't mean
that the trade in would be over, just that you would get less
then than now for your older unit.

What do you mean go down in July? The offer will be over?

Subject: [Braillenote] Apex 18 or 32
Hi All,
I know I asked this before quite sometime ago when I was trying
to decide
on which mPower to purchase, the 18 or 32 cell unit. But, of
course,
after purchasing the 32 cell almost five years ago now, I've
forgotten the
answer.
Anyway, I'm wanting to know what the 18 cell unit looks like.
Specifically, I'm talking about the part of the unit where the
Braille
display is? Since the unit has the thumb keys like the 32 cell,
I'm
thinking the 18 cell Apex has the 18 cells in the middle of the
unit, and
then just has a blank hard surface on either side of the 18
cells, while
the 32 cell display has the 7 extra cells on either side in that
space.
Am I visualizing the 18 cell unit correctly?
I did email HW regarding my PK; and, as I suspected, they told
me I should
send the unit in for repair. However, I don't think I'm going
to put
anymore money into this almost six year old unit now. But, I do
have the
Sendero GPS license, so I'm looking at getting a unit onto which
to
transfer that license and just considering my options. Oh, I
haven't yet
traded my mPower with its GPS license for the Apex yet, either,
so looks
like all this might cost me a bit of money here soon, especially
if the
trade in value is set to go down in July. Sure wish all this
wasn't
coming up at the same time; but, oh, well.
