I understand that but that isn't what happened. I charged it and it got to 100 percent. Then even though I did not unplug it I lost 5 percent of the battery. I understand how it charges and I know it won't charge if you plug it in and it is in the 90's.

Hi Malaina,
Your BrailleNote isn't always charging when it's plugged in. It discharges
some before it begins to recharge.
This is normal behavior and maximizes battery life.
The same thing happens on all sorts of devices, except you don't get to see
the percentage readings on most of them.
