Hi all:

You may be aware that Nathan Letts has sent several emails to the list, 
concerning an email problem that we are having. Him and I live within the same 
state, in the same city, so I have been giving him a bit of a hand. He is a new 
apex user, so I am able to help if there is anything of major confusion. 

Basically, the situation is this. When he logs onto his account, he is able to 
check his emails no major dramas. But, when his Apex goes to try and connect 
with the smtp server, he gets the error 11001. I have talked to google, and it 
reckons that this error occurs when the connection times out to his mail 
server, in this case, hotmail or gmail. He also has another account for his 
school email, on the same bn, and this generally works flawlessly. I have tried 
to deleet the account, and reconfigure it, but this doesn't work, and we just 
end up with the same error message. 

I have googled, and the ports we have are what is suggested on google, so it is 
obviously the rejection of his braillenote by his email account. 

Nathan also has a laptop connected to the same 2 accounts. I wondered whether 
this may have something to do with it. 

Anyhow, any help that you can give us would be much appreciated.
