This is the only time I reply to the list. You all know that you can use Nemeth in the calculator, right? Just making sure. I do it everyday when I need to use the calculator both on the Backup Secondary classic
bn and on the apex.

I agree that NUBS is better than UEB, but of the options on the bn, I prefer UEB to computer braille. Even if BANA adopts NUBS, though, hw may not incorporate it; Nemeth has been around for years, and hw puts in UEB, which is not even in the U.S. officially, instead of Nemeth.

I think the Nemeth Uniform Braille System makes much more sense to me than UEB. I hope BANA adopts it. Then the notetakers will support it.

I still think the best method for producing text sighted people need to read is simply use a qwerty keyboard. You can still read the text in your preferred grade, but you don't have to worry about errors that occur from translating braille to print. BT users can just plug an external keyboard
into their BN.  You don't have to buy a new BN.
