hi, I can't really compare the PK and Apex because I have a QT Apex so they
have differant keyboards from each other. Depending on what I am doing is to
what machine I take with me. I still like taking the PK around with me
because of it's size but when I'm teaching Braille I use the Apex because I
can type a word in and then the contractings will show up on the braille
display how they are ment to be, so if someone asks me about a contraction
in a word and I don't remember the rule then I can quickly look it up.
The problem I kept having with the PK's flash disk was because of the amount
of emails I was getting. I would have nothing on the disk except the keysoft
files I needed to run the machine but I just had too many emails. I used to
use wireless with my PK but we had problems with our wireless at home so we
had to change our settings to a setting the PK couldn't do however the Apex
can do it so that is what I use but at the moment I am using my Notebook
computer.
Bye for now.
From Shaz.
BN QT Apex and PK user.

Subject: [Braillenote] apex and pk users
Hi Sharon, Even I have the same problem with voice going off suddenly.
Like as you say, I too reset and get voice again. Now how do you find
using the apex? Is it more comfortable compared with the pk? What did you
do with the pk as now you are using the apex. Are you just keeping the pk
in store as spare? I keep space in the flash disk drive by saving files in
the compact flash Cf card. Do you use wireless connection for your
internet and email or other kinds of connection. Thank you. Kind
Regards,
