The other day I had the keyboard freeze problem, but it was ickier than usual ... because the alarm was in the mix. My weekly reminder alarm was activated with the Apex off. I turned it on, and it showed me the alarm options dialogue, but every key yielded the error tone. Although the alarm was set to go off every five minutes, it would only be silent for about 30 seconds after the Apex was turned on. The problem apparently cleared itself, but it took about six or seven minutes, mostly with the alarm sounding. -- Rick
