In many cases it works well, but it is the times when you run into
newer technology that it can get frustrating. Googling, checking
weather (on the right sites), and so forth all work well. Keep in mind
that the apex has relatively light hardware and an older operating
system, so it can't keep up with a computer (and let's face it, the
iPhone may as well be a computer - dual core processor and 512mb ram).
So, it's a tough call, but I think having the use of a second device
will prove increasingly useful in future.
