My distance varies, but with a relatively weak signal things fall
apart for the apex. However, it is the only computer in the area that
has problems; my iPod, Mac Mini, and two Windows machines all work
normally. That is at home; out and about, I never have luck holding a
connection, even with good signal. Sometimes, if I reset and the
signal is good, things will work, but then they go crazy if I switch
networks.

As to N routers, I am not sure. I want to say yes, but I can't be positive.
