Can your apex hang on to a connection if you are in the same room
as the router?

Subject: apex wifi (was How does the Apex work with the iPod
Touch?)
My distance varies, but with a relatively weak signal things fall
apart for the apex. However, it is the only computer in the area
that
has problems; my iPod, Mac Mini, and two Windows machines all
work
normally. That is at home; out and about, I never have luck
holding a
connection, even with good signal. Sometimes, if I reset and the
signal is good, things will work, but then they go crazy if I
switch
networks.
As to N routers, I am not sure. I want to say yes, but I can't be
positive.

When you are trying to connect to the internet with just the

note,
Can the apex connect to n routers without having to set the
router to mixed mode?

I was using the iPod's web connection, yes, and it is wifi; only
the
iPhone and 3g iPad have 3G capabilities, not the iPod or
wifi-only
iPad. I use that setup a lot because the iPod's wifi is so much
more
reliable than the apex; where the apex will work for a few pages,
drop
the connection, and usually refuse to connect again unless I
reset,
the iPod stays connected with no problems. Where the apex takes
forever to load pages, the iPod takes a bit to a lot less time,
plus
it has more applications (for Twitter and Facebook, plus the app
store
and other apps) that the apex will probably never have.

Does that mean you are using the internet from your Ipod not the
internet from the apex. If so then are you on a 3g network?

It works quite well. In fact, I am using it to reply to this
message via the iPod, and I do so quite often. As Sina said, my
podcasts cover the basics of setup and commands, so I would
listen to them and see if you have questions from there. If you
have problems pairing, email the list and we will try to figure
it out. The first pairing is usually difficult, so be ready to
spend some time and a lot of patience on it, but once that is
done it should auto-pair every time afterword.

Hi,
The subject line basically says what my question is. How do I
configure the Apex to work with the iPod Touch?
