Hi John,

To find out what version you have in rom, press the reset button with dots 123 
held down.  If the default bn voice comes up telling you that the flash disk 
could not be found and telling you to press the reset button again, you have 
version 5 in rom, (though I don't remember PDI saying they were shipping burnt 
versions yet).  If you have 4.01 in rom, then your unit will revert to 4.01 
until you do another simple reset.

However, here's my question for PDI.  From the main menu, if I press space with 
i, one of the items near the end say (kernel, version 4".  Is that the version 
that is burned into rom? Just curious.  Maybe someone who knows they have 3.6 
burned in could check and see if their's is different.  HTH, Laura
