Hello listers,
I plan on leaving the list, but rather than just leaving, I want to tell
you why. When I joined the list, I was told it was a list that shares tips
and tricks and answers questions. I realize that questions get answered
and tips get exchanged, and some of my questions have been answered, which
I appreciate. However, recently, two questions that I remember sending
never got a response. I could accept that if they were highly technical,
but they weren't. Over the last few weeks, time has been taken talking
about the Braillenot's shortcomings, debating the whole NFB discount
wisdom, and frankly, I've had enough. If I'd wanted a discussion list, I
would have joined one.
Does Braillenote have its shortcomings, of course. Almost any device has
things that aren't perfect. But I think it's wonderful, and I think PDI is
more responsive to customers than a lot of other places.
I'm sure I'm not the only one frustrated with the list, but I can call tech
support if I really need help, without being on the list and having to wade
through all the discussion. Yes, I know I can delete and I do, but if this
is what the list has predominantly become, I'm not interested in participating.
