Hi Allison,

Your honesty is appreciated here. I am on about 4 lists, and while I'd
like to stay on each, something has to go. I now receive over 200
messages per day, most from these lists, among them the BrailleNote
list. I can no longer participate as I once did, as I'm overrun with
e-mail. E-mail is a great tool, but it's become for me a real detriment
because of the shere volume of it. While I appreciate the concerns over
the NFB controversy, it, like other topics has been over done and
contributes to the massive amounts of e-mail. If I leave this or any
other list, it will be for similar reasons that you articulated quite
well.
Best Regards,

Les

Subject: [Braillenote] leaving the list

Hello listers,
I plan on leaving the list, but rather than just leaving, I want to tell

you why. When I joined the list, I was told it was a list that shares
tips
and tricks and answers questions. I realize that questions get
answered
and tips get exchanged, and some of my questions have been answered,
which
I appreciate. However, recently, two questions that I remember sending

never got a response. I could accept that if they were highly
technical,
but they weren't. Over the last few weeks, time has been taken talking
about the Braillenot's shortcomings, debating the whole NFB discount
wisdom, and frankly, I've had enough. If I'd wanted a discussion list,
I
would have joined one.
Does Braillenote have its shortcomings, of course. Almost any device
has
things that aren't perfect. But I think it's wonderful, and I think PDI
is
more responsive to customers than a lot of other places.
I'm sure I'm not the only one frustrated with the list, but I can call
tech
support if I really need help, without being on the list and having to
wade
through all the discussion. Yes, I know I can delete and I do, but if
this
is what the list has predominantly become, I'm not interested in
participating.

Allison
