You mean it didn't make any sound or didn't change the Braille
display? The switch is quite self explanatory. If it ain't talkin'
or clickin' it's off. If it ain't doin' neither, "It's dead, Jim."
<smile> There's no "Bones" about that. Actually, the switch is off
when it is pointed away from you and on when it is pointed towards
you.
The GPS receiver is less easy to tell.
