Lisa, your question leads me to ponder about what percentage of commands are issued in either Braille only, or speech only.
It would be fascinating, but probably very expensive, to add on a group of, shall we say, four command cells, set apart from the line of text, for the benefit of either deaf blind people, or those who anyway prefer using Braille to speech. Commands could then be shown in the form of abbreviations, with the text remaining undisturbed. Mind you, I feel very privileged to have both speech and Braille as a means of checking what I have written, but the idea of a Braille-only Note would probably appeal to some people, especially those dealing with foreign languages and Braille music. Pushing the realm of fantasy even further, one could imagine in years to come having a multilayered BrailleNote, with several lines embedded in the machine simultaneously, and access to these lines depending on how hard you pressed your fingers on the display. Ah well, dream on!!! Kind regards, Jim Taylor.
