Hi Ann,

Yes, I think the reason why computer Braille is the default Braille grade
entry at the directory prompt is because of the slash. You see, at the
directory prompt, you can still change the Braille grade entry. Press
BACKSPACE with b. Then you can type in contracted Braille but remember that
the slash is dot 4, followed by dots 34. QT users do not have this problem.
I agree with all who think that the way subfolders are viewed should be
made simpler. Since we press CTRL with t or BACKSPACE with t to switch to the
directory prompt, I suppose the t stands for tree-view. But if that's the
case, then it would be nice if we could move to the different levels of the
"tree" with commands similar to those we use in Windows Explorer. DOWN ARROW
or SPACE with dot 4 to move through the items on one level, and RIGHT ARROW or
SPACE with dot 6 to enter a sublevel.
Now, if ever this will be of some help to people, if you have entered a
sublevel, and want to return to the previous levels you've been to, you can
press READ with 7 or BACKSPACE with dots 23. For example, if you are in
/Windows/Profiles/Temporary Internet Files in the KeySoft Systems Disk,
deleting the files and folders there, and want to go to the subdirectory
/Windows/Profiles/Cookies without having to start from the root and selecting
an item in each level, then press the command I just wrote and it will take you
back one level, to /Windows/Profiles. Press ENTER there and then space to
select Cookies. You can also move forward through the levels you have been to
by pressing READ with 9 or SPACE with dots 56.

Cheers and hope this helps,
Kirstyn
