Hi, Terry. I think that is true even if you store braille files on your computer, but I remember doing this with my braille lite. The braille files were always smaller than the text files.

Dear Paul,

I could be wrong, but braille files, whether they are KeyWord braille or
.brf, will take up less space than text files, whether they are KeyWord,
ASCII, WP, RTF, etc.

Subject: [Braillenote] keyword or another file type to store

: Hi, Everyone.
: someone once told me that keyword files were much larger than their doc or
: rtf counterparts. As far as I can tell, the only reason for storing as a
: keyword file is so you can set bookmarks or place markers.
: With small files, book marks or place markers might be an idea, but with
: something large like the bible, it isn't feasible until we can do
bookmarks
: by number rather than letter. So, What do you all think?
: Is it better to store as docs, rtf's txt, etc instead of just converting
: everything to keyword files? Would it be a better use of disk space to do
: so? Do keyword files load any faster than other types?
: Thanks.
