Chris,
I can answer a couple of the questions, but as I don't use wireless yet, I
can't answer your questions about routers.
I hate to have to tell you this, but you can't run any other programs on the bn
as far as I know.
Pdi warns that it might damage Keysoft, which is the program suite that you
actually use or that it may even damage the bn itself.
The media player does come with the bn if you get a new one which will have
Keysoft 5.0 on it.
The mp3 player is ok, but it also has limitations.
Pdi says it can play all the standard files, but you must be very careful what
you try to play.
The problem is that it's very hard to know what sample rate you're getting.
Sometimes even in the same set of mp3 files, you may have a problem.
For example, I have a tutorial on Jaws that I downloaded from our pc to a card
which I could then play on my braille note.
All seem to play well except for no. 12, which, when I try to play it on the
bn, causes it to completely freeze up.
The only way I can get the bn to work again is to do a reset.
The file is shorter in length than another file from that same tutorial and
that longer file plays just fine.
Furthermore, file no. 12 plays fine on our pc, therefore, I conclude it's not
the file itself that has a problem, but something about it that makes the bn
freeze but not the pc.
Yes, you can use it, you can't make a play list yet, you can only play one file
at a time.
If you write me off list, I can go into a little more detail so we don't take
up all the list.
Suffice it to say there are some things I like and some things that I think
could really be improved on the bn.
Hth
