Hi Christina I will answer your questions in order:
Firstly: is outlook express the program used on the braille note and if so, is it the same as the windows outlook express? No, outlook express is not the program used on the braille note, instead, it is called keymail and is a proprietary program that the braille note uses. It is though the same format though as the windows outlook express in that you go in to keymail and then set up your account and the service that you would like to use with the braille note (for connecting) it is pretty self explanatory. By service, I don't mean that it gives you internet service providers to choose from, you would just go in there and set up your detains for the provider that you would like to connect to, what you would do is go to the main menu with the space bar and 1 2 3 4 5 6 chord pressed down and then press e then it will say key mail menu and then you would press c if you want to connect to a service, or you can scroll down with chord 1 and chord 4 (and go to set up options if you would like to set up your email) (this is assuming that you're purchasing the braille note with the braille keyboard of course). Also, the braille note does not check your email for you automatically unless you are connecting to the net for the first time. So you will have to go in to keymail again, and then go to read mail and then it will say check for new mail? And if you say yes then it will go and do so. Secondly, you asked is the mp3 player included with the purchase of the braille note? Yes it is, if you are just currently purchasing your braille note, it should come standard with ks5.0 and the mp3 player should be included in there. Thirdly you asked, can I run any windows program? Or can any windows CE program be used? And my answer to that question, is that you can only run the standard programs that are on the braille note or that have been made on the braille note all ready and that have come with the updates, no other programs such as instant messengers, and or any other types of programs can be run on the braille note.
You also asked I have comcast cable will this work on my braille note?
And my answer to you is yes it will, it will work on your braille note, but not at first, you will have to purchase a network card from either pulsedata, and or socket communications. I believe that the card is called a socket communications ruggidized network card. And lastly you asked, I have a wireless router will this work with my braille note? And the answer to that is no it will not, when you do get your network card, you will have to hook up the network card to the router with an ethernet connector running from the network card to your braille note.
Hope this helps

Hi,

Below are the questions which I have for now. Your answers will help me to better understand the BN, as this is very new to me. I am really impressed with the braille display, a new tool to me as well.

Thanks So Much,

Chris

1. Is Outlook Express the email program used with the BrailleNote? Is it the same format as Windows Outlook Express?

2. Is the MP3 Player included with the purchase of the BN?

3. Can you only run Windows program, or can any Windows C E programs be used?

4. I currently have Comcast Cable as my I S P. Will this work with the BrailleNote?

5. Can the BrailleNote be used with a wireless router?
