Thanks Dan and Bob, I located the favorites folder under documents and settings and sent the required items to my vn's email address. I'll detach the files to the vn's favorites folder and test during the weekend.

On the pc in internet explorer, go to the files menu and arrow down to the import export option and press enter. I don't remember the exact order these things are done and I don't have a pc with me to try it, but tell internet explorer that you want to export your favorites to a file. Transfer the file that is saved to your the my favorites folder of your bn. When your bn asks for an address press the spacebar and when the list comes up press backspace with x to get all the files in my favorites folder. Select the file you saved there and you'll have a tidy collection of the favorites that were on your pc. Hope this helps.
