Hi Terry, The easiest way you could get version 5.1 on your machine is to download it directly using KeyWeb. Go to the URL: pulsedata.propagation.net/SDW/User/Login.aspx, log in with the first five digits of your BN's serial number and the password "frog1" (without the quotes), make sure the radio button that says "KeySoft 5.1 Build 19" is checked before executing the "Download" button, click the "Click Here to Download Package" link, and select the Downloads folder on the Flash Disk to download it. Then, go to the Utilities Menu, and choose Application Program. Select the the 5.1 program, and follow the installation prompts. If, however, you wanted to transfer the file from the PC, you would have to use ActiveSync Installer. You would go to the Pulse Data website to download this: www.pulsedata.com. Click on "Products", then "Notetakers", then "BrailleNote Downloads", and the "ActiveSync Installer for Veround 4x" should work fine. Refer to the Release Notes that you received on March 5th for details on how to install. Forgive me for not being able to assist you with that, but I've never used my PC for that purpose, and so I don't know any more than what the Release Notes say. If you're using some type of memory card or a floppy disk, copy the file onto the card/disk from the PC and insert it in to the Compact Flash card slot/PC Card slot/Super Disk Drive (and plug in the drive in the BrailleNote by inserting the PC card that extends from its cable into the BN's right side slot, and also plugging in the cable that came with it into an AC adapter on one end and the jack on the disk drive itself on the other end, if you're using the Super Disk Drive). Follow the same procedure as for transferring from the Downloads folder on the Flash Disk, but select the drive of your memory card and the folder to which you've copied the file. Remember that if it's a Compact Flash card, the drive is referred to as CompactFlash, and for a PC card or Super Disk, it's a Storage Card. Also, the Compact Flash slot is the one on the back, and the PC card slot is on the left. HTH. Maria
