Thanks. That's kind of what we figured. I guess the velcro on the
shoulder strap is for the gps receiver?

i use it this way every day at work and with the gps.
i just leave the charger at home and check the battery gage.
or you can put it in a back pack or purse.
the zipper compartment is for flat items like flash cards.
