Dear Paul, To find out what the margins are, go to the layout menu by pressing control with l. Press the space bar to cycle through the options. The left and right margins are in the layout menu. You can press enter on the default settings or type a different number.
To find out what the page margins are, press control with P. Follow the same steps as I just told you. If you want the speech commands to read by sentence or paragraph instead of lines, press read with s until you hear, "Reading mode sentence or paragraph." Now, read with u, i and o will read the previous, current and next sentence and read with 7, 8 and 9 will read the previous, current and next paragraph. If you are reading a braille document and the paragraphs begin with a new line and two spaces, make sure the BN recognizes this as the paragraph boundary. Go to the file manager. Choose the translate menu. Choose "back translation options." The first question you will be asked is: "what type of paragraph boundary is in the source document?" Choose either the "new line" option or the "indented or blank line." You can use control with space to cycle between the options. If you are reading a text document and you want the BN to recognize a paragraph as two new lines, go to the file manager, translate, forward translation options. Choose either "blank line" or "indented or blank line." I think most of these things are covered in chapter 7 of the manual. I hope this helps you solve the problem of reading sentences and paragraphs. Terri, Amateur radio call sign KF6CA.
