Hi Paul,
not quite sure what the negative voltage means, but what counts as your
question is concerned is the voltage it tells you when pressing e. So when
e returns 3.6 volt, it's definitely time to charge!
Maybe next time e returns 3.6 volt, you could press v and then let me know
what the other value says. We may then find the explanation what the other
value means.
