One major correction to Jonathan's paper. Moving files between PAC Mate's internal memory and a storage card on the BX is MUCH easier than Mr. Mosen would lead one to believe. There is no need to go into menus to move anything. One simply presses e-chord x to cut or c to copy, presses left arrow to back out of the current directory, selects the storage card and presses e-chord p for Paste. If there's anything complicated about it, it's that in order to feel more like one's computer it should be e-chord v.
Further, comments about looking at a company's upgrade policies doesn't benefit HumanWare. Just ask Keynote Companion users how much they were offered for their units when the Braillenote came out. Further, Braillenote SMA customers with only one count had to buy an additional SMA to get the update to Keysoft 6.1. The choice was either buy the additional SMA or get no refund on the upgrade already owed (and paid for) to the customer. I understand this was a major upgrade, but many of the "new features" are simply playing catch-up to the competition. I have both a Braillenote 32 and a PAC Mate BX40. They both get a lot of use. They both have their merrits.
