I've been doing some serious work with the braille display lately, using the bn
as a display on my pc. I use window eyes 4.5 sp4 as my screen reader.

One thing I've found very irritating with the bn since PDI switched to Duxbury
is that many symbols are spelled out as words. An example is "greater-than",
(without the quotes), and other symbols as well.

However, I notice that window eyes also does this. But, I have been able to
stop this and leave the symbols as the symbols they are by unchecking the box
in
the window eyes options which says grade two translate symbols.

I realize a modified version of Duxbury probably had to be created for the bn,
but I'd really like to see an option made available within the bn which would
either
translate symbols into grade two or not, depending on the users preference.

It would really make reading many things such as manuals much much easier on
the bn.

Thanks,

Don
