I have been thinking about what was said in a previous message: One of our marvelous listers pointed out that he couldn't understand why someone would buy a stand alone reading machine. Well for one thing, what if you wanted something with which to read say in a family room away from the home office? Or, you have an elderly parent living with you who may have a small efficiency in the back of the house and the parent may have macular degeneration. This would be an ideal machine especially for a man.He could see to his bills with no assistance from family members and wouldn't interfeer with the family computer. This may sound sort of impractical but if you had room enough you could have this in the kitchen to read those recipes. Or, say there was a blind wood worker. He wouldn't want saw dust to get into his computer, so why not have one of these in the work room to read those plans. Just some more thoughts. Can you tell, I really like my ScanAr.
