Hi all,
No, Anita, what you need is the Client Assistance Program. The key
here is to persuade your counselor that an update to your equipment
will allow you to either keep the job you have or be in line for a
job, etc. It sounds like your counselor has no idea what the
differences are between a BNS640 and a BrailleNote.
You need to tell CAP that you have been refused help by someone who
was unfamiliar with the equipment, hence you were not getting your
needs met. They can't treat you like this. A BNS640 is fine for an
elementary school student or for somebody who just needs a notetaker,
but it is not able to use the Internet, retrieve email, access audio
files, none of the modern functions of today. If he won't get you a
BN, how about updating your PC?
