press function with x then type a diaeresis then press enter. you should see
cap a diaeresis, press read with n to get to a diaeresis which is the same
as a umlaut and press enter to insert the character.

Subject: [Braillenote] Keystrokes for umlaut a required
Dear List,
I need to do a google search for info on a conductor whose surname
contains an umlaut a, but I don't know what the keystroke for that
character is either on a querty or Braille keyboard. Can someone please
tell me?
Thanks and regards
Riana
