If you write the word "said" followed by three hyphens (press dots 3-6 three times), the BrailleNote's speech will translate it as two dashes, followed by the word "compliments". In other words, the third hyphen will be translated as the letters c o m. With only two hyphens, both were translated as dashes, so there was no com to begin the word "compliments". Four hyphens yield the same result as two, so three translate correctly, but if speech reads it wrong, just erase one of the hyphens, and write the letters c o m in front of the word one letter at a time as opposed to using the Grade II contraction.
