done with lower d ing sign and 4,6 1,3

why won't it read it like a plus and a equal
It did not tell me to use computer mode

Terry, if you are in calculator mode, yes, plus is 3-4-6.  However, if you
are writing it another way, instead of being in calculation, you would need
to put a dot 4 in front of the 3-4-6.
