The only thing I would caution against leaving the CF card in all the time is that when you turn the BN on, you may sometimes get a message stating that the card needs to be formatted in order to continue working properly, and you are asked if you want the problem fixed. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS say no to this prompt by typing N at the prompt because, most likely, you will lose all the data on the card if you say yes.
