Jane,

I't been several hours since you posted the message regarding grade 2 on the
display, but in the event you haven't gotten an answer yet, the grade of
braille is dependent on the screen reader you are using. In window eyes, you
can go into the braille options menu and turn grade 2 on or off as desired.
There is a similar setting in jfw I believe, but don't know where to tell you
to look for it.

In terminal mode, the braillenote displays whatever the screen reader sends to
it, so the screen reader is the component that determines format, grade of
braille, etc.

Also any braillenote hotkeys used in terminal mode are defined within the
particular screen reader, so if you want to find the assigned hotkeys for jfw,
for
example, you need to look in the jfw documentation. They may be somewhere in
the braillenote documentation as a courteousy to customers, but
basically, they really depend on how the screen reader defines them.

Hi, everyone. I have just successfully hooked up my BrailleNote 32 to my
laptop and am using it as a Braille display. Is there a way to cause it to
display text in Grade Two instead of computer Braille? If so, how do I
manage it?

Thanks for the help,

Jane
