It is a stand alone scanner.  It is not made by Pulsedata, but somewhere in
Europe.  It is also sold under other names.  It will save scanned documents
to the Braillenote.

Yes Pulse Data do have a scanoer called "SCANNAR'R" and have had mine for 3
years and it works really well with the braille note.  It  even asks "Do you
want to save to the braille note"
 It is an excellent unit, a stand alone and it has very clear speech.
not  too heavy to carry around if needed.
