Hi Tom,

As a general rule, I've found it better to save these files as RTF, thereby
preserving much of the format while allowing PK to open them correctly. If
you transfer your files from a PC to the PK via Activestink, you can tell
Activesync to convert Word files to RTF automatically as it copies them over
to a mobile device.

Paul.

Thanks, Jonathan. I'd been wondering about that given recent problems I'd
had with documents containing tables. I'll need to see about some sort of
work-around for this, changing the tables to straight text with tab stops or
something that doesn't require a special converter. It would be nice to
have truly transparent handling of Word files and I hope that happens sooner
rather than later.
Tom
