This summer PDI introduced a Braille Display for both the Brailliant and the Braille Note family of products which is much lighter in weight than the ones put in the machines that have been around over thelast 4 years. I only know they are much lighter in weight butsomeone like Jonathan or Dean can give you the particulars as to whether they are faster or quieter or quicker or the like.

Mary Ellen. What is this new Braille display?

What is going on with these machines anyway? Are they only supposed to last
a couple of years? Sheesh I think this is about the seventh or eighth
machine which has gone out in the last 6 or so weeks?
I keep saying no more products in this household with Braille Displays. Too
many moving parts.
I remember your competitor or someone who used to work for them telling me
that there is a part in these Braille Displays which simply causes these
machines to quit. But, Man oh man! It will be interesting to see how long
the new Braille Display holds up.
