Beth,
On the BrailleNote you cannot use a USB drive. These drives you're talking
about sounds like they're thumbdrives. The Braillenote has no usb ports.
The PK has a USB port, but it won't work with thumbdrives or any drives
because it is client only according to Jonathan. So the answer to your
first question is no.
the answer to your second question is yes. the brailleNote and the PK are
both equipped to handle books from bookshare. this is one of it's selling
features. Jonathan spoke about going to a hotspot with the PK and
downloading a couple of books from bookshare and the morning papers then
boarding the plane and reading the news with your fellow passengers.
I am sorry I didn't answer this the first time you asked. I hope this is
clear. So if you want to join Bookshare it shouldn't be a roblem.
Unpacking a book means simply unzipping it or uncompressing it. It is
compressed or zipped when on the website to conserve space. Happy reading.

Hi, does anyone use these with the BN and will they be usable with the PK?
They store the equivalent of 100 floppies, I understand and are small
USB-attachable storage drives, so I learned from another list. Thanks.
Also, can you unpack Bookshare books on the BN and PK? I'm in over my head
here, don't know what that or unzipping mean.
Thanks. Beth
