Keep them both, you never know what could happen. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peggy Kern" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 2005 8:45 PM Subject: [Braillenote] Upgrades on flashcards
Hi, all. I received what was labeled as the 6.1 upgrade in the mail today, complete with instructions and another license sticker, etc. I looked at the card, and it's 6.11, which I've already downloaded and installed. So now I have two cards: the one that was originally 6.1 that I upgraded to 6.11 after downloading and copying the file from the web, and then this new 6.11 card that I got today. I glanced at the files in them, and my original card has the installation key thing, which this new 6.11 doesn't have. I imagine Humanware sent the new card as the fixed version of the upgrade, since of course they wouldn't necessarily know who had the ability to download the 6.11 from the web and who didn't. But do I need to keep both cards? Since one has my installation key thing, I'm thinking I probably do, but I'm not sure. And before anyone who hasn't gotten their upgrade asks me to send them one of the cards, the upgrades are keyed to your BN's serial number, so my upgrade wouldn't work on your machine. <smile> Peggy <who doesn't mind keeping both cards, but also doesn't mind reformatting one and having it as a spare 64 meg card, lol> mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.home.earthlink.net/~kernsac MSN Messenger [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
