Hi Dug and folks,

I believe Jonathan is right, that Senderogroup will still be very well supported by the new Humanware, since the Senderogroup has the superior gps product by far, and why would Humanware shoot themselves in the foot by not supporting the best gps product out there.
trekker has their place, as a small simple low end featured
gps product, which for many people might be all they want.
but as someone who is beta testing the new gps 3.1 on the PK, which is lighter than the Trekker and has many more features in it, with braille display a functional keyboard, wide variety of very powerful programs an dnow viruses can attack it, I would never consider anything else. Senderogroup has maps for europe, canada and united states and you get the entire maps of the region, like all of the united states for the price of the program.

So over all, I feel this merger is going ot benefit us all.
The economics of the general market do not apply to us, since we are such a tiny part of the entire free market and our technology will always cost more. Neither Visuaide or Pulse data produce a screen reader or a screen enlargement program, so by still having FS, GW Micro, AI Squared, Dolphin, is good for competition an good dfor all of us. Visuaide tried to hook up with FS, but FS just wasn't willing to do so for many reasons, so having Visuaide merge with Pulse Data is great to have international companies merge to bring a world wide view of adaptive technology, unlike FS. So sit back, and let us see what evolves from this merger, before comparing it to Freedom Scientific's merger.
