Hello folks, Firstly, let me say how pleased I am at the fact that we have some wonderful people on the list, who have taken a lot of their time to assist others in getting KeySoft 6.1 up and going on BrailleNote list member's BrailleNotes. This is a fact that I'm very appreciative of and I'm sure I can speak on behalf of many others in this regard.
However, again, complaints about the unnecessary list chatter are flowing into my inbox. Due to having made a number of warnings to the list and only seeing short term results, I feel I am forced to take some drastic action in the hope that the list may return to the helpful and knowledge filled tool that it was once known as being, without the chatter. Till now, I have delayed taking this action because as it so happens, freedom of speech is an issue that is personally important to me and I don't wish to take this away from anyone. What is the drastic action? For the next 48 hours, every list member's posts to the list will be moderated. If chatter should continue after this period, members will find themselves moderated or unsubscribed, something which I don't want to happen. I know you're all capable of contributing some excellent information to the list, yes even those who frequently stray off the topic. That is the reason why I am taking this approach first, rather than removing offending individuals. If your message is rejected during this period, I promise you will receive an email with an explanation accordingly.
