DEar Laura,

When I created a braille document and I wrote words such as stich/stretch
mistake/error go/stop typist/stenographer, I had to put dots 4,5,6 dots 3,4
to get the slash to translate properly; if I put dot 4 in front of dots
3,4, it didn't work.

Why didn't it work? Could it be if a braille document is created on a BN QT
dot 4 won't work but dots 4,5,6 will?

: Hi Sarai, Ronda, and others,
:
: Just to clarify what Julie said, in a grade 2 file, placing a dot 4
before
: any character means that the very next character will not be translated.
: This comes in handy, so that one does not have to go through the hastle
of
: changing to computer braille simply to write a web or email address, or,
in
: Sarai's case, to insert one single slash mark. HTH, Laura
