Hi Josh;

I am rather new at this, myself. I take it to my admin meeting, even if it
is just to write down when the next meeting will be. We also may be having
a retreat or a Christmas party. I am trying something new, this year. My
chapter is selling nuts. I am keeping reckords in braille, large print and
this year, for the first time, I am translatint to the BT.
I am hoping by the end of this nut sale, I will be a lot more formiliar with
my edit and navigating commands. It is also handy to make a scrap folder
for names, addresses, dates, etc. You can then translate it neatly into the
address book or calendar.
Bye for now.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] how do you use keyword?

Hi Josh,
This is Mike. I haven't really plaied around with keyword too much myself,
but from the way it was described to me at the workshop I attended back in
April, you can pretty much do anything you want with it. For example, you
could use
it to write letters, whether personal or business, you could use it to make
short notes to which you can refer to later, for example, if you were at
school
talking to a classmate, and you wanted to jot down their phone number, email

address, or other contact information, but you were in a hurry, and didn't
have time to bring up the address list, you could simply open keyword, give
the
document a name, something like classmate info or something quick like that,

write the information down in keyword, and you'd have it to refer to
whenever
you need it. I work as a pledge drive operator sometimes at the local (PBS)
radio and tv station here in Rochester, and when I had my old note taker,
I'd use
it's word processor to write down the caller's name, and other contact
information. They give us a form to fill out with each caller over the
phone, I'd
read the questions in braille to the caller, and then I'd write down their
answers on the note taker's word processor. With my braillenote, I'll be
able to do
the same thing. Oh, and when you go shopping, you could also use the
braillenote's word processor to write down your shopping list and/or write
the list of
aronds you need to run on a given day. Hope that helps. Have a nice weekend.
Mike
